Objectives
Constructing 90% of the physical progress of the total projects implemented by the Engineering section and taking necessary action to ensure the proper functioning to the people living in district and to upgrade the standard accordingly.

01	Maintain and service of Buildings.
02	New constructions.
03	Recommend estimates prepared by the Technical Officers of Divisional Secretariats.

01	Prepare estimates for new constructions in the Divisional Secretariats and District secretariat.
02	Prepare plans and estimates for suggested development projects through other Ministries, Institutions and Temples in Kurunegala district.
03	Maintain, renovate and service buildings in the District Secretariat of Kurunegala.
04	Inspect estimates prepared by the Divisional Secretariats in relation with the Development Projects and forward them to get approval.
05	Prepare procument documents for constructions.
06	Provide technical assistant to Technical Officers in Divisional Secretariats.
07	Inspect sites, getting measurements, inspect bills and provide recommendations and prepare paying vouchers.
